It’s been a little while since my last post as I’ve been busy with my children and travels over the summer holidays. However, I did manage to get away for a little ‘me time’ at an in-person paint-along at Turner’s House last weekend.

Today I thought I’d share a technique with you that I like to use when I’m short on time to create, or when I’m doing short timed sketches.

Breaking News: I’ve completed my first sketchbook!

If you’re like me, and I know a lot of you will be, you’ll have a bajillion sketchbooks in your collection and you’ll likely have several on the go at once.

I bought this book on pre-order last year when they restocked it on Amazon and it arrived in February. I love Róisín’s work and follow her on YouTube and Instagram.

A little while ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to do a factory tour at Daler-Rowney in Bracknell, Berkshire (UK). I did this tour yesterday and couldn’t wait to share the experience I had, with you.

In the month of April, I had what I called “a creative reset”. Maybe it’s something you’d benefit from too…
